NovoCultivate is a real-time soil analysis for optimizing soil health and overall cultivation. It utilizes a single probe with sensors for transmission of soil moisture, salinity, aeration, and respiration. It identifies the nutrient content – nitrogen, ammonium and phosphorus, potassium, organic carbon, and magnesium. The system further measures soil temperature, moisture, type and texture, and pH value.
NovoCultivate provides farmers with an advanced, easy-to-use tool for measuring and monitoring soil content and parameters for farmers to optimize their crop quality and reduce costs associated with the transportation and wait time to obtain a laboratory-based analysis. Our probe contains sensors for analyzing soil for Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P) and Potassium (K), organic carbon content, as well as temperature, moisture and pH. The farmers will benefit from an intelligent analysis of soil composition based on big data for deriving the ideal composition and parameters to optimize the specific plants being measured.
List of Sensors:
Nitrogen- N
Phosphorous- P
Potassium-K
Organic Carbon- C
Temperature
Moisture
PH
The sensors will be embedded in a prob.
Prob will be inserted in the soil permanently.
Each probe has sensors on two depths that collect and transmit the data. Targeted depths are tentatively planned to be 20 cm and 60 cm. The exact depths will be determined after further review and deliberation during design process.
The wireless system connected to the prob (above the soil) will transmit the data to the cloud base dashboard.
How NovoCultivate differentiates from competitors?
Primarily from its AI intelligence, the combination of probe and cloud-based software not only analyses the soil but offers solutions (such as what to use to correct conditions) and includes a notification system.
